I liked this book. I really hated the custody part, but hated more that I wouldn't know what to do. I don't think I could give up my kid, but I don't think I would be able to kidnap them either. What a crock, they want you to get the bad guys, but you can't love anybody or have a family without getting social services involved. sorry had to rant on that cuz it's the truth. This book really made me more mad than anything else (in a good way). I kept wanting to yell, GO GO GO, or NO NO NO, or what the... Anyway, this was my first James Patterson book and I think I will try some more, I think there is an Alex Cross series, and I'm still debating whether to read an earlier or later book. There were some good page-turning parts and twists and turns, but most were frustrating due to the 'red tape'. I mean 'come here' and 'go there' without any idea as to what is going on. I wouldn't like that especially when you don't know who to trust. I would read this book again, but not in a 'where is that book' sort of way, more like a 'sure, ok' kinda way. Maybe I'll like one better from sooner since he'll be a cop and not a fed. Here's to hoping. This was obviosly well written to get this reaction from me, if it was boring I wouldn't feel this way. Enjoy and get the juices (and incredulous anger) going. :)
