My stepson was in Giddings for several years so I know the info in this book is true. It's so sad what some children have to go thru. Thank God for the people at this institution that try to help the kids.
I've learned lots about what Bill Clinton believes happened during his presidency and can't say I'm surprised, but it was an education about politics and how Washington works. Generally Clinton portrays himself as a good sport in defeat as well as victory, but I was interested in his political motivations and thought that part was expressed to my satisfaction. A glimpse of Clinton avenging perceived wrongs either to him or others in "My Life" reveals more about his character than the other 95% of the book, but alas it was a morsel amidst a banquet.
Well, if I had know it was a book for kids I would not have bought it. But then I would have missed reading an amazing book. The second is about the innocence of children and how they are about to except the unexpected, and then lose that when they are adults...
